About our courses

The Center for Legal Aid Education's extensive course catalog addresses the full range of advocacy, management and leadership skills that legal aid lawyers and staff need to successfully represent their clients. Our full-time staff of experienced legal aid lawyers work closely with expert volunteers to design and deliver high-quality and replicable training programs.

Based on best adult learning practices, CLAE courses have you learning by doing. With the help of experienced facilitators, you’ll not only read about and observe advocacy skills, you’ll also get the chance to practice them through exercises and realistic simulation. And you’ll get specific feedback and pointers on how to improve your skills.
