Who should enroll
This course is designed for newer attorneys and paralegals, as well as advocates who feel that they could benefit from a training on administrative hearing skills.
What you will learn
- Legal analysis and creating a theory of the case;
- Case development through discovery and further analysis;
- Proof of facts and evidentiary issues;
- Preparing for and presenting a case at hearing including witness preparation, opening and closing statements and direct and cross examination of witnesses.
This course addresses the following ABA Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Aid: 7.4- Initial exploration of client's legal problem; 7.5- Investigation; 7.6 - Legal Analysis & Research; 7.7 - Case Planning; 7.11-4 - Discovery; 7.12 - Administrative Hearings.
