Introduction to Working with Limited English-Proficient Clients

The Consortium is pleased to offer Introduction to Working with Limited English-Proficient Clients

Working with Limited-English Proficient Clients is a self-paced training resource, available through CLAE’s online campus, that provides a basic framework for working with limited-English proficient clients through an interpreter.

The resource includes introductory materials on basic functions and key roles that interpreters fulfill and a summary of six key stages within an initial client interview. It also includes a training video that focuses on communication dynamics at each of the six key stages. Each segment includes presentations of best practices followed by self-tests to confirm understanding and assess program effectiveness in these areas.

WHEN: Join us online Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 2pm-3:30pm  for an introduction to how to use the LEP training resource.
