Supervision & Management Skills Training

Twenty-six legal aid attorneys from across Mississippi attended the recent Supervision and Management Skills training. The training provided an introduction to the organizational systems and skills necessary to oversee and guide the work of equal justice practitioners. It included skills sessions on how to:  

• Establish and maintain the supervisory relationship
• Provide constructive feedback
• Delegate effectively
• Work with supervisees to create professional development plans
• Prepare for and conduct performance reviews
• Build effective work groups and teams
• Create and maintain effective management and supervision structures
