Providing Services for Today's Challenges
CLAE provides high-quality in-house training and consulting services that help equal justice providers address the day-to-day and long-term challenges facing today’s community. Anything you see here or elsewhere on this site can be organized for your progam, state or region. Click here to contact us for more information.
We can also also offer selected modules from many of our multi-day training programs or develop customized training programs to meet individual organizational needs.
System-wide professional development: We'll work with you, your program, state or region, to help you develop a comprehensive approach to professional development for all staff. Generally this relationship means that we'll engage with you in an assessment process to learn what is available now, determine what kind of opportunities you want to provide and your priorities for particular courses and training opportunities, and then create a multi course laddered skills development program for your region's staff - from attorneys to support staff and everything in between. We'll also work with your local experts to help you develop capacity to design and deliver locally relevant substantive law training and provide leadership opportunities for your mid level staff by involving them as faculty and design team members for courses.
Individual course deliveries: We can deliver any of our existing core courses in your state or region. Generally, in this relationship, we will provide a lead trainer and additional volunteer trainers from outside your state or region, make minor adjustments to the curriculum design to meet your particular needs, provide all course materials including manuals, case study materials, worksheets and activity materials for faculty and students, set up and manage any associated online course activities, provide all related media resources and learning tools, provide a full day training of trainers for your participating faculty and provide onsite leadership and support for the actual delivery of the event. You will secure an appropriate location for the event, recruit the participants and some local faculty, manage the registrations (with materials we can provide) and the onsite logistics (meals, breaks and lodging arrangements). Click here to go to the courses page and learn more about these core courses.
Ongoing Learning Communities: CLAE Learning Institutes support the professional development of participants over an extended period of time. Participants benefit not only from regular, periodic course events, but also from online activities that continue the learning between these gatherings. Through structured long-term connections, we foster robust communities that enable deeper relationships and sustain work on complex projects and learning goals.
